Your Responsibilities
As a Cloud Application Architect (m/f/t), you will play a central role in implementing our “Growing Green” mission at RWE Generation. We are planning to be climate-neutral by 2040 and are looking for committed employees who will drive forward the digitalisation required for this at RWE.
RWE Generation is going to the cloud, utilising RWE’s Azure landing zone and implementing DevOps ways of working. We seek “hands on“, flexible and committed people to join us. We give you the opportunity to develop your cloud skills and support you with a comprehensive onboarding programme.

Work “hands on” within our development team to design, implement and optimise RWE Generation’s cloud application portfolio
Coach and provide technical insights to our DevOps squads, enabling effective cloud solutions
Optimize “self managed” applications in Azure, exploiting advanced cloud native features
Be accountable for application security in Azure
Design and agree best practices for application operations and ways of working
Work collaboratively to establish cloud application standards and roadmaps
Lead the introduction of new and evolving Azure capabilities to our cloud applications
Support the evolution of our Data and Digital Platform
Manage relationships with enterprise architects and support architectural forums
Your Profile
Experience working within, and with, applications teams for optimising applications in cloud
Strong MS Azure environment knowledge supported with appropriate Azure Certification
Strong focus on customers, collaboration and results
Experienced with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform
Usage of Azure DevOps and creation of YAML pipelines
Knowledge of programming languages used within the team such as C#, PHP, Angular.
Knowledge of and practical experience with Agile methods and Scrum
Good language skills in English
